A polite and proper acknowledgement to pogge for setting up this lovely sitting room. For weeks now, I've been somewhat disturbed by the, um, tone of some of the posts in the blogosphere. I won't mention any names, of course, but some folks are descending to, well, gutter language.
Dear friends. Can we not have civil and decorous discussions, and agree to respect even those with whom we disagree? Public discourse can only benefit from such concord.
Now then.
Is it just me, or is Dalton McGuinty just singing from the Harris / Eves sheet music? And isn't the notional difference between Liberals and Conservatives just so much kabuki theatre?
Dash it all, where's that Far Side 'toon with the dog rushing across the busy street while his friends watch approvingly, and say "All right, Rusty's in the club"?
[Cue the sound of teacups dropping. Who let this boorish ruffian in here? He's been here barely ten minutes and he's already breaking the china!]
