Seriously? What century is this? Can you say "arbitrary?"
Welcome to OB's inaugural edition of What Andrew Coyne said. Dude's been making good use of the Tweeter on this one.
Really, if not for our Neanderthalish attachment to an antiquated and dysfunctional first-past-the-post system, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. Time to move on from steam engines, quill pens and iceboxes, doncha think?
Just a damn minute here. Is he calling us peasants? Why, I oughta ... well, we can let it go for now. He's on a roll, and I like where he's going ...
And the kicker:
Let's get this dealt with quickly, dear friends. May should be in the debate. Whether we agree with her or not is irrelevant. The less sound and fury we waste on this, the sooner we can turn the focus back where it belongs: Shrill Arrogant Contemptuous Furious Lying Hypocrite Stephen Harper and his Legacy of Shame.
Andrew Coyne also said in the last election that there should be a real debate between the LPC leader and the CPC leader, since Canadians deserved to hear a real exchange between the two people who might become Prime Minister of Canada.
